i just upgraded my dell laptop to 3.16.0-43-generic. it came up fine after reboot. but when i close the lid (suspend) and then later open the laptop lid, the screen is trashed -- the login box is just all white (no letters) -- if i go on and blindly login then it brings up trashed screen, term window is only a box outline ????
more sadly, if i reboot to older version of ubuntu, the problem is NOT fixed
