Change clock in middle of desktop

There is a clock on my desktop that I don't know where it came from. I have looked around and tried to change it's color using the GNOME color chooser and there was no effect. What is this and how can I edit it?

First off gnome-color-chooser no longer works. That clock looks like a intentional add on. What additional packages have you installed?
