I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, but here goes anyway.

I have a Dell XPS 15 solely running Ubuntu 14.04LTS. Every once in a while I have to use proprietary software from school that only runs on Windows - so it becomes an hassle.

I have 2 options,

a) I install Windows 7 now. But I hear that installing Windows on a Linux machine is a main in the ass, and since it is a laptop I cannot get an extra internal HDD.
b) Running Windows 7 on VirtualBox. Now I have a legal Windows copy from which I have created an ISO. Unfortunately, VB keeps giving me a Fatal Error "Bootable Medium Not Found. System Halting". I dont know whats wrong because the same VM easier loads up Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Mint ISOs without a hitch. Oh and the Windows ISO definitely works because the liveUSB works on my desktop.

What should I do?
