I'm attempting to install kali linux from usb. Upon bootup I get the well-known "Unknown keyword in configuration file" error message. The difference between my situation and all others that I've found on various forums is that this message is printed 8 times. I then rebooted into Ubuntu to view the config file, and saw that the file contained only 8 'keywords'. So, how could it be that every term/keyword/value in the default syslinux config file is unknown to the bootloader? I even updated syslinux and syslinux-common to the newest prerelease from this index: http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/s/syslinux/. However, I've still received the same error message printed the same amount of times. I created the bootable usb disk using Startup Disk Creator.
