My grand daughter has homework for summer vacations and she asked me to help her build a project involving animations using Build Your Own Blocks (BYOB). There was a hint to search with keyword "BYOB Programming" to find the software. The following page was on top of Google Search:
Snap! (Build Your Own Blocks) 4.0 (https://snap.berkeley.edu/)

We clicked on the Run Snap Now Button (http://snap.berkeley.edu/snapsource/snap.html) and it opened.

It was very interesting project. We downloaded Mickey and Minimouse images from internet and used as costumes two two sprites.
The sprites of Minimouse and Mickey were placed at two ends of the stage and Minimouse was programmed to move to the other end and say Hello to Mickey.
Then she asked me to add music and I downloaded an mp3 file of old Walt Disney movie. The mp3 file was more than two minutes and I used cutmp3 command to extract 10 seconds mp3 from that file.

Finally we did it and I enjoyed it.

Those who would like to see my work can download the project file (xml.tar) attached here.

Extract xml file from the tar.
Run Snap in the Browser (http://snap.berkeley.edu/snapsource/snap.html).
Click on File icon on top left after Snap Logo.
Select Import.
Select the File Mickey&MiniBYOB2.xml
The project will open and show Mini and Mickey on stage on right side.
Click the Full Screen icon (second from left above Minimouse)
Tap the Space Bar to start.
Enjoy.

This software is for kids so you can learn it easily (I hope)
Click on the same icon to exit stage on full screen.
Click on Mini's sprite below the stage.
The script will open in the middle window.
The Blocks have been dragged from left window.
The left window blocks change when you click on Control etc on top.

Good creative work for retired people like me.
