I'm running 15.04 Mate now. I run 2 screens cloned, and I'm getting extremely irritated by the way the video drivers behave. I've tried both the default driver and the nVidia one, even though I can't figure out how to configure the nVidia one at all anymore. On 10.04 there were actual settings. Now all I see in "Nvidia X Server Settings" is this profile and rule nonsense. Anyway, The problem is when I switch inputs on the secondary screen, the primary one goes black for a minute. I have Windows setup the same way, and it does NOT do that. Linux almost acts like it's using HDCP. I can't stand it. The screens also flipped out this morning when I turned them both back on. One screen was fine, the other showed only the wallpaper. I've been using Ubuntu since 8.04. Will the video settings ever get easier and more stable? You'd think we'd have these things worked out by now.

Nobody has ever seen this issue or knows anything about it? I find that hard to believe.
