I have a fresh eOS Freya install. Wanted Synapse indicator, but the wingpanel disappeared after install. Someone with the same problem said he got a black screen after uninstalling it so I don't dare do that (and I don't know how). It is said (https://www.reddit.com/r/elementaryos/comments/34ow5e/cant_install_synapse_indicator/) that installing a newer version fixes the problem, but when opening the indicator-synapse-dbg_0~529-0~ubuntu14.04.1_amd64.deb (https://launchpad.net/~elementary-os/+archive/ubuntu/unstable-upstream/+files/indicator-synapse-dbg_0~529-0~ubuntu14.04.1_amd64.deb) file with Software center it says "Dependency is not satisfiable (=0~529-0~ubuntu14.04.1)".

Also:
user@machine:~$ sudo killall wingpanel
[sudo] password for user:
wingpanel: no process found

I don't need synapse indicator but thought it would be neat. If I have to choose, I'd just like the wingpanel back though :S
Thanks for any help.

So, should I just reinstall the OS and save myself some time?
