Mysql Failover

hello,

I wanted to install Mysql Utilities for easy failover issues cos most of tutorials talk about this, but it fails to install
these deb packages are missing stufs, looking on google, seems nobody uses them does even look suported anymore, I dont know
(cannot access /usr/share/pyshared/mysql: No such file or directory...)

so does anyone knows an alternative ? like how to restore a master after the slave took over ?
