My Ubuntu is acting up strangely the last few weeks.
For one: when I close the lid and open it again I lose all my open windows. I have disabled suspend and hibernate because those didn't work, but now even lock screen is causing problems.
Also networking doesn't work after I close the lid and when I try to restart it gets stuck on an empty sceen, showing just my desktop background and I have to shut down using the power button.
The error report after the restart says "suspend/resume failure [non-free: fglrx]", problem type: KernelOops
After having this issue and restarting Ubutnu, I had an even more annoying issue: I was unable to click some windows, I could not close them, even after giving them focus via alt + tab.
Any help in getting to the base of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (linux-image-3.13.0-53-generic 3.13.0-53.89) on a Lenovo Thinkpad S540.
