It seems like my Google Chrome has been hijacked.
I get a lot of ads poping up and I am being moved to advertisment sites in stead of what I click on.
When searching for malware I can only delete some of the suspected files.
Probably I would have to know the root-pvd, but how do I find that?
I have tried ClamTK but it does only help on files that are no systemfiles.
Can anybodi help me with this?

Have you looked at the installed extensions for any rogue ones?

From the menu, select the more tools > extensions option.

Yapp, there were only the good ones I need.
Thank you!

Try moving/removing your cache and your profile
and see about what it looks like from a fresh perspective.

The cache and the profile are in hidden folders.
You can locate them by opening the Files program and pressing ctrl +h. (this enables the show hidden feature)
The cache is in .cache/google-chrome.
The profile is in .config/google-chrome.

You can either delete them or simply rename them something like google-chrome.old.
This is all done in your own personal folder, so no need for root.
