View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu 15.04 32 bits taking too long to get installed

Hi.
I am trying to install Ubuntu 15.04 for dual booting with windows 8.1 but its taking too much time..I tried 2 different files to install-->Ubuntu 15.04 64 bits and 32 bits
.in both it's getting stuck on same line-->dispatching action'dchp4-change' for eth0..I am using a USB drive for installing it and made a new partition for installing Ubuntu.using win32 diskimager for 32 bits version.help
My device information:-
Processor-intel quad CPU q8400 2.66 GHz
Ram-2gb.
No graphic card

Getting this error while installing Ubuntu 15.04 and its taking too much time to get installed too.
Device info:-
Intel q8400 2.66 GHz quad core
2gb ram
No graphic card

Are you following the advice in here?

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI

If that machine came pre-installed with Windows 8 then you should be installing Ubuntu 64 bit not 32 bit and you should be installing it in EFI mode because Windows 8 will be installed in EFI mode.
