I was trying to edit one of the community wikis today, and even though I can log in, I don't see any edit button like I used to (I haven't edited anything in a couple of years).

Any ideas?

I was specifically trying to edit this page if anyone's curious: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD

Here is how I would do it. And I have just tested the method.

Go to the wiki page and click Login to Edit. I was re-directed to the Community wiki home page. Open another tab and go again to the wiki page. Login and there at the top is the Edit button.

Another method is to open the wiki page and click Login to Edit and when re-directed to the Community wiki home page search for the wiki page and when it opens click Login to Edit and there are the top should be the Edit button.

A third method is to start at the Community wiki home page and click Login to Edit and then search for the desired wiki page. When it opens Click Login to Edit.

Regards.

I logged in and tried the page shown in the image. There's an edit link below my email address (blacked out). Clicking on that gets me into edit mode. Are you sure you're not on an "immutable" page?

Ok something weird is going on. I went to that exact page you posted in your screenshot and it's an immutable page for me, and the only button on the top bar is "Logout"

I attached a screenshot of what I see.

Weird indeed. I don't know what to say :(

Maybe you can try with a new browser profile? Do you get a page asking for personal details after you supply your user name & password in the "Ubuntu One" screen?

You could PM BlinkingCat and point him to this thread. Maybe he can guide you?

Yes, I do get a page asking for personal details after signing in the ubuntu one screen.

I guess I'll try PMing him and see what he says. Thanks!

Yes, with Chrome, it's easy to set up a new profile. You could wipe the cache and cookies in your existing profile but you may lose some useful cookies.

And on the Ubuntu One page, I allow for my "personal information" to be seen.

This may or may not have something to do with it:

If you have a Ubuntu One account, but no Launchpad account

Go to https://launchpad.net/

Click "Log in / Register".
Insert your Ubuntu One credentials, and click "Log In".
If prompted, confirm the details you want to share and click "Yes, log me in".
This should create a Launchpad account linked to your Ubuntu One account. You should be returned to the Launchpad home page, and you should see that you have now been assigned a launchpad username.
Return to the wiki and login by clicking the "Login to edit" link.
When you are successfully logged in, you will see an "Edit" button below the wiki page title.

Regards. It may very well be. I have a Launchpad account as well with the same email etc. I didn't realize it was relevant and so I didn't mention it.
