no d-bus interface

after upgrade to Ubuntu 15.04, I can no longer mount external usb hard drives (neither usb2 nor usb3)
error is: no d-bus interface.

no such troubles with 14.10 and with Win7.

drives are new, "smart". changing formats from ntfs to ext4 has no effect.

can anyone help?

Which desktop environment are you using? Unity? KDE? Gnome?

How are you trying to mount the drives? Terminal command? Clicking on something in the file manager? Using an application?
