I'm running 14.04 Ubuntu. Is it worth the time & effort to install the new version?I went to software updater & there didn't seem a easy way to do it. What is the proper way to do it? Thx for help.

Hi,

14.04 is good for years to come and 15.04 is only good for 9 months.

If you have new hardware and are having problems, it maybe worth while.

If you are not having troubles, why mess with a good thing.

When Ubuntu 16.04 is released software updater will give you an option to upgrade to 16.04. But we cannot upgrade from 14.04 to 15.04. First we have to upgrade to 14.10 and then we will get the option to upgrade to 15.04.

You need to change a setting in software & updates so that you get notified of the next Ubuntu release instead of the next LTS release.
