hp pavilion dv7 laptop with dual video cards - multiple display settings windows

Hello All,

I have been having this issue for a long time and sometimes I can get it to stop and like now I can not

Issue

If I let it continue I will have hundreds of display setting windows open on my Ubuntu 15.04. It was the same on 13.04 and 14.04.
I close them, change settings in them, nothing seems to work, then all of sudden they stop.

Anyone have any ideas?
