I upgraded today in 15.04. I had created a panel to the right of my screen and after the upgrade to Plasma 5 is gone. I went on to recreate that. Everything went fine until I reboot. After that I log in in the kde desktop and it just halts in the black screen. I can see that the borders of the two panels are drawn, I can press Alt+F2 and type but no program is launched
I thought I may reset somehow the KDE environment. I tried to delete the ~/.kde directory, I completely purged whatever had to do with kubuntu or kde related stuff and reinstall them. No luck. The reset was not performed because I can still see the shadows of these two pannels.
How can I fix this? If I can't fix it how can I reset the whole KDE environment?
