1) I had added a new hard drive-3 TB Seagate internal SATA 3 drive that i want to add apart from my old 1TB hard drive.2) The new 3 TB drive had some issues. Because of that - my GRUB got some problems....
3) then i ran the boot-repair and here is the report:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boot successfully repaired.

In case you still experience boot problem, indicate this URL to:
boot.repair@gmail.com or to your favorite support forum.
You can now reboot your computer.
The boot files of [The OS now in use - Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS] are far from the start of the disk. Your BIOS may not detect them. You may want to retry after creating a /boot partition (EXT4, >200MB, start of the disk). This can be performed via tools such as gParted. Then select this partition via the [Separate /boot partition:] option of . (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootPartition)
If your computer reboots directly into Windows, try to change the boot order in your BIOS.
If your BIOS does not allow to change the boot order, change the default boot entry of the Windows bootloader.
For example you can boot into Windows, then type the following command in an admin command prompt:
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) I got a replacement and correct drive(3TB)...after testing it...i can get into both Windows and Ubuntu Linux.GRUB is working fine....b[B]ut my last boot-repair introduced good # of entries into my GRUB entries....please refer to the screen shot:
5) As GRUB is working fine..i don't want to mess it with....how i can fix these entries which got into my GRUB screen after the last boot-repair?
So need help in terms of Cleaning up the GRUB entries....
Went thru a lot of forums...but the solutions provided is not working for me.
I looked into this solved thread also at:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/265320/windows-7-ubuntu-12-04-invalid-efi-file-path-boot-repair-grub-many-entri/613876#613876
http://askubuntu.com/questions/281321/grub-efi-entries-and-boot-repair
but not very helpful...as it's somewhat related to GRUB - i want to proceed with caution...it took some good amount of efforts to make it working at the first place.
thanks in advance.
