I wish I could have watched the real thing on TV, though.

Nice, very nice :D =D>

This is good enough to justify me editing my page of funny stuff I see online which is located off of one of the links in my signature

I'm using firefox...

I've been able to view the videos before it is just since a short while ago that I couldn't view them.

EDIT: For some reason it works with epiphany fine, but not firefox...

That's why I like Google Video better... because it has an option to download the video instead.

Anyway, I'm not sure what's causing your problem Wallakoala. Are you having problems only with YouTube or with other Flash sites as well?

Google video doesn't work either...

Firefox crashes when going to some other flash sites sometimes.

This all used to work...but since like a month ago it doesn't work

Well ... no one can say Microsoft doesn't have brand recognition.

@ Wallakoala:
No Flash for PPC, so I always use this:
http://1024k.de/bookmarklets/video-bookmarklets.html

Something to get you by in Firefox until you get the problem sorted. Also a couple extension out there that do pretty much the same thing.

Do you not see video, or not hear audio or both?

Thier are a few post here discussing firefox crashing with flash. the consensus seems to be to uninstall all things relating to flash in synaptic except flash-nonfree, You may also install the epiphany browser and try it, Sometimes epiphany is beter with flash content

Have you installed the NoScript extension or do you have JavaScript disabled?
I keep JavaScript enabled, but I have NoScript to enable it on sites that I deem safe.
Also, I used Automatix to install all the needed Firefox plugins...had no trouble viewing either video(had to temporarily allow the first one with NoScript).
None of this may be your problem, though.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Keep on coming with those new distros and interesting threads, and I'll keep on searching for funny stuff.

Good thing posting in the Cafe doesn't affect bean counts. :p

This video has absolutely nothing to do with Letterman's tribute to Gates, but thought I'd share for those interested:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgfTG1wCHtg&search=Top%20Gear%20The%20Carver%20topgear

Hope the link is correct.
Didn't want to start a new thread...so thought I'd add it here.

Edit: deleted another video link, couldn't get it to play in Firefox, I'd played it previously in IE...but got a plugin error with Firefox...actually caused Firefox to freeze, so thought it'd be best to delete.

:shock::shock:=D>

Now that would be a thrill, Notice how they dont mention crash test results  lol

I would imagine if everyone drove them their would be a lot of accidents though, and I wouldnt want to drive one unless everyone else was. Could you imagine getting in an accidnet with a suburban or the like

I would be a fun little car though if you lived out in the country, unfortunately it would be a expensive car to own

high profile car + 115mph = Speeding Tickets!!!!

Come to think of it, I've never seen crash test results for motorcycles...don't think too many would pass.
Yes, I think the suburban would win...if your interstates are anything like ours, I definitely would restrict my driving to the scenic route.

Hehe, I live in Texas, so thier are alot of Big 'ol pickups running around here, I drive a fairly big car myself and still get my share of near accidents with the big trucks. I can think of 2 incidents where trucks have caused damage to my car.

It appears a truck backed into me in a parking lot, and another truck merged into my lane and to avoid getting hit I "merged" into the curb which did a nice number to my tires and wheels on that side hehe

I could only imagine being in that car, it seems people in smaller more "unsafe" cars are some of the people who do real gutsy maneuvers
