Hi all.Im currently running unbuntu from my usb stick which works great except, when i reboot i lose all my programs which i`ve added. Is there a way of copying unbuntu with my extra programs onto my usb stick, then i can run from usb and still keep my files and folders including updates. I just want to run from usb and not install Ubuntu to this machine. Thanks

Also flash drive life is not as good as other devices. But that can vary greatly. And brand/model flash drive as well as how you use it makes a difference. Or good backup required.
You do want to modify settings to minimize writes.

Full install requires larger flash drives is one of the major differences.
