After upgrading to 15.04 I have experienced consistent errors with the new startup "runit" whenever I attempt to use apt-get install.
I first saw the error when attempting to install git-all. I ignored it as I had no time at the moment.
Then again when attempting to install xppaut. So i tried to update/upgrade to see if a fix was put out and it occurred again.
The following error was displayed in all 3 cases
"Errors were encountered while processing: runit
git-daemon-run
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"
Any ideas on how to fix this?
