I've been trying to mount the hard drive from my old computer on my new computer to transfer my data.

The complication is that this is an encrypted partition.

When I look at it on the file manager i get icons labelled "Access Your Private Data" and "README.TXT"

When I click on "Access Your Private Data" a terminal window opens momentarily and nothing happens.

Following the other option described in "README.TXT"does not seem to do anything. No error message, just another prompt.

I get the feeling I need to put the encryption key in a file on the new computer somewhere, but where? I have the 32 hex digit key for that partition, but how do I get it to be used?
