I currently have Rawtherapee 4.0.12.0 installed on my laptop. My OS Is Zorin OS 9.0 Core which is based on Ubuntu 14.14 LTS. Whenever I try to upgrade the RT package I get an error. Here is the output from Terminal

Did you enable the ppa at https://launchpad.net/~dhor/+archive/ubuntu/myway?field.series_filter=trusty or did you just download the .deb for rawtherapee from a site online?

You need the ppa enabled in order to get all the dependencies.

If you already have that ppa enabled try purging your current version of rawtherapee, removing the downloaded archive from the package cache with command
sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/rawtherapee_4.2-4dhor~trusty_amd64.deb and then reinstall again with the new ppa version.

That removed .deb archive may have been corrupt as it was showing an error when unpacking. Removing it and trying again may solve the problem, but bear in mind that it could simply be a result of some different repositories that Zorin uses.
