Hi!

I'm not sure where this goes so feel free to move this topic.

I'm looking for software like Articulate Storyline but for linux (Elementary OS which is Ubuntu 12.04) to create e-learning courses. I couldn't find anything like this in the software center and am now looking for tips. It needs to be very user friendly like Storyline, and not require coding or anything like that. What options are available? From what I've heard Linux is very education friendly overall. I will be trying open shot video editor soon. Looking forward to being productive on Linux! :D

Thanks.

I use scenarichain, you can include exercisers (not as thorough as Storyline) and multimedia files. I generate scorm packages to upload to moodle and html files for presentation when I need them. The basic themes are just OK though. I spent a whole summer 2 years ago fiddling with theme packages. It can be done, I did it, but I found it complicated as not in my skill box (I went mostly by trials and errors, did what I wanted to do but wont do it again).

Thanks for that tip. Yeah, online solutions work too, as long as they don't get laggy.
I signed up for Udemy but it seems their studio isn't up and running yet.

I also found Google's variety but I couldn't install it through software center so I'm leaving that alone. Have had far too many packages break leading to a non-functioning OS to go at it without instructions.

though I haven't used it myself, have you looked at Moodle: https://moodle.org/

is this maybe something you are after?

Actually I'm looking for this (https://www.articulate.com/products/storyline-why.php), but for Linux.
I've used it for years but can't find anything comparable on my new OS.

If scenari does not fit you needs, some people around me use exelearning http://exelearning.net/downloads/, but I prefer scenari.
