I'm having a HCL ME Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit). I'm trying since yesterday to install Ubuntu 14.04 as the only O/S. I inserted the installation DVD in CD/DVD Rom. But when the first page came asking me to choose what to do, I opted for full installation. But thereafter nothing happened. Thereafter, as a second option, out of 4 drives, I deleted the volume of D Drive and created unallocated space so that Ubuntu can locate it and install itself. But it couldn't. I need support and advise. However, I should mention further that files systems are NTFS.
