My company The Schurtek Group (http://www.schurtek.co.za/) finds open source solutions for businesses here in South Africa. We offer potential clients three options.

1. Download the software and have their IT guys install it.
2. Buy a CD from me with the software on and have their IT guys install it.
3. Pay my company to come on site, and install the software and train their staff.

In most cases, the second option is what companies go for. With the second option, we offer them free telephonic support for the installation of the software. We also make a contribution based on agreed amount between The Schurtek Group and the Development Community of the Distributed Product. When we do an onsite install, we make a similar contribution based on how many machines we installed.

In a nutshell, I am wanting to add Ubuntu to my companies range of products. It has passed all my tests and we are eager to start offering it to our clients.

Who would we contact to get the go ahead. And who would we contact to get permission to use the ubuntu logo in our advertising and on our vehicles.

If you go to our website (www.schurtek.co.za) you will see how we market the open source solutions. The only two we have on the website are Asterisk@Home and CentOS. But we have a few more open source apps availble as well, they just too small for CD so we email the ZIP (less than 2MB) to the client. Option 2 is now left out.

If we get the go ahead for ubuntu, then we would like to start looking at Kubuntu, Edubuntu and Xubutnu as well...

Here's a second to the 'contact canonical' suggestion. I imagine Mr. Shuttleworth will be rather pleased, especially as he is originally from South Africa!
