I am running Kubuntu 12.04 and running intro challenges with undesired log-off. The only thing I can say about how it happens is I touch the mouse, dragging it a little when I reach for it. This reset of the session does not happen every time, but 1-3 times a week.

I know within KDE it is possible to create mouse gestures. I have not defined any and when examined, I do not see any in that aspect of the System Settings. I haven't found any solutions on google. All I have found is bug reports but little in solutions.

Thank you for reading this and any feedback you can offer.

Does the system log-off cleanly or is it simply a dropout of your xsession?

I presume from what you say that it is not a sudden shutdown with a reboot needed, but simply a login needed to get you back to a session?

The system properly logs out. shutting down services and I am returned to the log-in screen. No reboot or need for a reboot.
