Internet doesnt work in one of the accounts.(Ubuntu 12.04)

I have recently bought a preinstalled dell laptop.
I installed hadoop on it , single node installation. Made a hadoop account. Now internet works on this hadoop account but does not work on the admin account.
Help me with this.

i've no clue about hadoop myself, and probably not many on ubu forum; so you might post on hadoop forum i suppose to get more usefull help
