Hello !

I currently own a late 2012 Mac Mini, running
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, and Yeosmite 10.10.1. I run windows 8.1 via parallels desktop, but I am going to install it via bootcamp for performance improvement. I tried to install ubuntu 14.04 previously, and triple booted it with OS X , Windows , and Ubuntu. I installed ubuntu on an external usb drive, and it was a nightmare. The installer selected a different usb drive, contrary to my instructions, and wiped it out completely. I ended up regretting installing Ubuntu, as all my files were permanently gone. Now, ubuntu fever is catching up with me. Is it possible to install Windows 8.1 via bootcamp, and installing Ubuntu 14.10 from within windows 8.1 ? I know it is possible to do this on windows machines, and I wanted to avoid using Refit or any third-party launchers, as I do not want to jeopordize my OS X Yeosmite due to it being my main OS. Do you think it is doable ? Thank you !
