By "most recent" do you mean 14.10?

15.04 has not yet been released.

Thanks!

Can you give us a rundown on your hardware specs?

Sure I've got an i7 4770k an Asus rampage motherboard, 16GB Ram and a 1TB Seagate hard drive. I was actually able to install via selecting manufacturers mode (OEM) but this is only a temporary solution.

That is a powerful computer. I think it will fly with every Ubuntu flavour.

The OEM mode in OK. What happens when you reboot the computer and 'convert it for the final user'?

You might have problems with the graphics. Please tell us about the graphics chip or card :-)
