Hello!

Even though I am new to forum, I've been using Ubuntu since 7.04, and this forum has been very useful in countless times.

So, my question is, is there working version of GnoMenu, MateNu or Tilo-Menu available for Ubuntu 14.04 with Mate? I tried installing MateNu via .deb provided in launchpad, but it did not show up in add to panel -window. I wasn't able to find consistent info about the support of matenu in newer versions of Ubuntu anywhere.

Thank you for the answer and also thanks for all the previous answers I didn't need to even ask for.

Hi,

Yes, I'm aware of the age of the software. I am just wondering, if there is some way to make these old programs to work with newer versions of mate-panel, or if there is a newer fork of GnoMenu.
I'm quite surprised, actually, to find out that the development of MateNu is stalled. GnoMenu was quite popular back in the golden years of Gnome 2 and Mate is quite popular now.
