I have 14.10 on a desktop dual booting with win 7. Ubuntu / resides on an SSD and everything else on a 2 TB drive (Win, /home, /etc, /usr. etc, etc). I dl'd the beta2 for 15.04, used Unetbootin 603 to create a USB. And I get a message that there is a missing file, menu.C32. I copied menu.C32 from my bios directory plus 2 other files that I read about in a post somewhere. Now the USB will boot but it is asking for a Username and a password. I try ubuntu and blank first. Then I tried my regular userid (for some reason) and a bunch of other possibles. Nothing works.

Anyone have anything that will get this back to normal. I will gladly start all over again if needed.

Thanks for any help.

i used disks-> restore image
to create my usb when that happened, disks will put the iso on the usb as if it was a cdrom.
since your doing this from win7-> http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
it's a stand alone app, it does not install.
