Hey!
I just bought a Chromebook C720. I've always kind of hated Chrome OS, so I created a recovery USB and removed it altogether.
I have to say, I am very happy with Ubuntu, Virtualbox, and a light Windows XP install.
What i am not happy with, however, is the error message that pops up every time I boot.
I get an error message saying
usb 2-4: string descriptor 0 malformed (err = -61), defaulting to 0x0409What's worse, it hangs there for 20-30 seconds before it proceeds to boot in less than 5 seconds.
Ubuntu would be a very desirable OS for my C720 if it wouldn't hang there, adding 20-30 seconds to my boot time.
Is there any way i can skip this message and proceed to boot?
Thanks!
This issue has been confirmed by me in both Ubuntu and Xubuntu.
