View Full Version : [ubuntu] Encrypted home folder not opening automatically on re-install

I have an encrypted home partition, normally this present no troubles. When I want to re-install ubuntu onto the OS partition, I direct the OS to mount the encrypted partition as /home and provided that I put the same user-name and password in ubuntu would automatically unlock the encrypted home folder and displays my files.

However for some reason, now, no matter how many times I try, when I reinstall ubuntu it just shows me the access-your-private-data.desktop file in /home/ (which accessing is proving difficult).

Whats gone wrong, why isn't ubuntu just opening the contents encyrpted home folder as normal?

edit:
This just seems to have fixed itself- I have no idea why!
