SSD xubuntu/ubuntu installation AHCI or ICE?

Hi, I was thinking to try xubuntu or ubuntu and I have this question if I use SSD instead of HDD what should I choose in BIOS before installation so the SSD works properly AHCI or IDE? Thanks

It is my understanding that trim only works with AHCI, but if you have AHCI you should use it whether hard drive or SSD. Advantages to drive access.
