Panel Properties Background

I have the background set to a solid color transparent or a background image, but it often reverts to a solid non-transparent color, for no apparent reason. Maddening!!!

Suggestions, please, and thanks!

Not sure how you set the transparency level. I use Ubuntu Tweak and never have had a problem. I also use it to set the login screen to same as wallpaper.

Thanks for responding. I have just gone through my Ubuntu Tweak settings, and cannot find one for transparency level.

The panel transparency setting is in the tweaks settings under unity. Scroll to the bottom for panel opacity.

I do not use unity. I run gnome flashback. Thanks anyway.
