I want to setup a computer that runs the coreboot bios. Can anybody answer these questions I have?

1) Is there a computer I can go out and buy right now that I can install coreboot on before installing Ubuntu and have it work?

2) If I install Ubuntu onto a Chromebook, can I erase the Chrome OS entirely and just run Ubuntu. Or do I HAVE to run ubuntu alongside Chrome OS?

1) don't know anything about this.
2) yes, you can wipe chromeOS, but you need it to change some settings before doing that or your new system won't boot.

Be careful when planning to use a chromebook as a normal laptop. I've written about my chromebook issues many times here.
