Hello, I am running a distro based on Ubunto 12.04 and use Banshee 2.6.2-2(ubuntu1~hyper1+precise).
I have used Banshee previously to convert my plethora of flac files to 320 mp3 upon syncing my ipod, however, as I am upgrading my ipod to a 256 GB drive with a bypassed dac line out, I am trying to find some way to have banshee to convert my flac files (on the fly) to apple's proprietary alac format.
I have searched threads to this and found traces of refrences to a file that one puts on the device and says which formats it can read... but I can't see a way to apply this.
And no. I am not willing to convert my flac files on my HDD, I am looking for an on the fly solution.
Any ideas much appreciated!!!!

alas, I am doomed to have this thread forgotton in the BASED forum ... tis a pity because it actually has nothing to do with my distro... just a general banshee question. :P
