Anyone know how I can get menu transparencies in the Cinnamon DE? Is the a setting I can adjust with dconf-editor? I just left xfce where this feature was built into the DE. It's not in Cinnamon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Transparency in XFCE due to it's compositor. I did find a possible solution @ ask Ubuntu.
Open Cinnamon Settings -> Themes dialog, there is an Other Settings tab. There you can choose the theme style to be transparent or not.
Hope that helps.
