Hi,
I have Ubuntu 14.10 running on my laptop and would like to install Elementary OS, so I can dual boot between the two.
However, I need some advice on how to do this.
I've tinkered with Ubuntu partitions in the past, but am very rusty and I don't want to damage my existing Ubuntu installation.
I know that my hard drive is approxiamtely 50% full and when I look in System Monitor, I can see that, but when I open GParted, it shows that my 'main' partition (for want of a better word), is full.
I want to resize the partition, to free up space, so that I can install Elementary OS, however, I'm concerned that I might delete or corrupt my data.
I have attached screen shots of both System Monitor and Gparted.
Can anyone advise what I need to do here?
I just want to do this in the easiest possible way, so if that means sharing my home directory/user name, I don't mind.
Thanks!
