The Fluxbuntu project appears to have been dead for some time (several years) and I'd like to get it up and running to provide an alternative for users like myself who want a very low footprint desktop and prefer one of the *box environments to GNOME, KDE etc.
The reasons I suspect the project is dead are:
All of the links on DistroWatch (http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=fluxbuntu) (wiki, community, main website) are down and have been for some time.
There's no activity on the #fluxbuntu IRC channel.
There are open bugs (e.g. 663671 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/fluxbuntu-project/+bug/663671)) dating back several years with no activity (although occasionally someone does chip in, but never the main maintainer).
I've tried contacting the original maintainer and the team through Launchpad but I've never got a reply.
If I wanted to restart the project without the original maintainer (though I'd love to have their involvement if they're available), what is the best way to go about doing this? I'd also like to get at least a couple of other people involved if anyone is interested.
