Thanks a lot, not exactly what I used but close. I didn't mod this actually.

OK if I recall correctly I found both in a pack on gnome-look.org or a site like it. I have been searching for them for the last 30 minutes now but still have yet to succeed. Still, thanks.

I did some refining and got more of a modern Ubuntu style!

http://s26.postimg.org/5elo5bkvp/Ubuntu_Mate_2.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/5elo5bkvp/)

I found a tool to change the greeter background to match the desktop wallpaper.

http://www.webupd8.org/2014/10/lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings-gui.html

Also, installed some ambient themes from a ppa repo and used the ambient orange theme, the theme uses the Ubuntu icons. I changed the pop up notifications to Slider. I am really happy with how this setup turned out!

Edit: If anyone knows how to change the lock screen background I sure would appreciate it.

I haven't tried Mint so I don't know.
In Kubuntu 15.04 systemsettings5 is a mess, I cant download new themes and Gnome application style (GTK) is missing :confused:

Going to be difficult to compare "KDE 5" with anything else at the moment (and also this is an alpha release of Kubuntu). As for Kubuntu vs Mint in general I prefer Kubuntu. It is more stock but also feels more solid (and I know with backports enabled you get the latest KDE (4 that is) has to offer very fast and consistently.

Thanks, let me try those up.
If you didn't changed the font of the terminal in it's own preferences, then it will follow the font on the Cinnamon settings.

Well, hey, nearly missed this month's.

Upgraded to Debian Testing (Jessie).
Everything looks good, so far.

XFCE 4.10.
-> Greybird Theme
-> Faenza-Darkest Icons
-> Window Manager -> Atlanta 2

Wallpaper - I'm sorry. I have no idea where I found this, other than I'd done a Google search for "empty beach".

Guayadeque quits with a segmentation fault when I try to edit tracks.
I've fallen back to using Rhythmbox.

On that note, if anyone knows how to display disc number in Rhythmbox, I'm all ears.
I'm not out to derail the screenshot thread for music player help. I'll look on my own.
Private Messages are fine.

Attached are clean and dirty screenshots.
