I have a problem to install ubuntu in a PC hp pavilion 14 with windows 8.1 and secure boot. I have follow the steps but the pc don't read the dvd and always begin windows. Can help me, please?

Make sure that you are trying to boot from an EFI bootable media, which is not the case if you are trying to install an older version of ubundu. Also check the boot order, and finally try legacy boot from bios

How did you create DVD.
You must use installer not just copy ISO to DVD. Installer both extracts ISO and makes DVD or flash drive bootable. Generally flash drives are a bit faster and reusable so no issue with bad burns.

Also verify that download is correct with md5sum
