Inverted Color after waking laptop screen

Hey all, sometimes after waking my laptop screen, all the colors will be inverted. I used shutter to take a screenshot of the desktop and it looks normal

When i hit 'shut down' which i normally have to do to fix this, it immediately reverts the color back to normal and shuts the computer down.

Laptop: HP model 8460p running 14.04 64bit

Searched to no avail, any ideas?

Not sure if bumping is allowed

Problem persists still.
Ive fully updated and this is a fresh ubuntu install. Did not happen with the same os installed on the last laptop i had with the same model number.

Check your Compiz Configuration Settings Manager: is Negative checked in the Accessibility section?

If so, you can either uncheck it or press Windowskey+M to reset to normal.
