I was able to watch movies via on my Ubuntu 12.04 machine until yesterday.
I donot know the reason, but now in the Displays section shows only laptop screen as the output device.
The connected TV is not showing and the weired fact is the same content on my laptop is shown in my TV(Although at a much lower resolution)
I tried running xrandr but it is not showing the connected TV. but my cable is working fine with another version of Ubuntu.
As ubuntu is not able to recognize TV as a secondary monitor, I am not able switch between displays.
Please someone suggest how can i fix this error.
