Hi All,
I installed 14.10 afresh over existing 14.04. I had formatted the / partition but left the /home unformatted as I always do. Now, I am not able to login to my PC after the initial reboot after installation. The login screen accepts my password but immediately returns to the login screen itself. If I enter a wrong password, it is not accepted and the error message is displayed.
