Hi trav9595.

This should be a start: Adding Xubuntu to Ubuntu (http://askubuntu.com/questions/64241/how-do-i-switch-to-xubuntu).

Hope it helps. Let us know how it goes.
Regards.

I downloaded Xubuntu for a faster desktop .....just when I needed it.. but Unity loads up, there is no sign of Xfce..
How do you get a screen that lets you choose which one you want??

Go to System Settings > User Accounts
Unlock at top right and then turn off automatic login and reboot
and/or just logout to the greeter.

Select your session from the icon next to your name.
