Hi,

I apologize in advance if this has been asked before.

I just bought an ASUS X205TA-DH01 11.6-inch Laptop.

I created a start up USB, as well as trying Wubi with Windows. I'm trying to install 12.04 Ubuntu.

I can't get past the splash screen when I keep hitting F12.

Thanks!

May not be exactly you are looking for. This is the instructions to install 14.10:

link (https://github.com/lopaka/instructions/blob/master/ubuntu-14.10-install-asus-x205ta.md)

I have tried it using the live option just to try out. Not everything is working though.

I have a Asus (different model) with Win8 and I followed this LINK (http://itsfoss.com/install-ubuntu-1404-dual-boot-mode-windows-8-81-uefi/) But I installed 14.04. It is working great. No problems.

Hi,

Thanks!

How do I do a clean install, I don't want Windows.

That's easy, When you install just pick the option to use the whole HD and that will give you a warning that you are going to delete everything on the drive and it will install on the HD and wipe out windows.

Try turning off secure boot too, an Asus x200 just wont boot from USB with secure boot enabled.
