Hey, yesterday.....I succeed make my my usb as a bootable drive with linux mint ISO (I want to switch to Ubuntu because Lubuntu 14.10 was very buggy). Now im typing using Linux Mint 17.1 USB Live...but the linux mint won't install....now im trying to boot using minimal installer CD...to Xubuntu....but my CD won't change the permission....(its CD-RW).....I want to burn the minimal installer .iso into the rw CD (it contain some videos).....I don't know how to.....I only got that as my backup.....My Lubuntu accidentally deleted in Linux Mint install process....

sorry my grammar is terrible in this thread..im too afraid of losing my pc and unable too boot up....

so my question is -

How to change permission on CD-RW to read and delete file......so my .iso file can burn too the disk...

* Now i had to boot from USB (Linux Mint) everytime i wanna use this pc.....it's so scary....I afraid my USB will damaged is I use it for a long time...and won't able to boot up next time

please help! :(

gsku nautilus (or is it nemo that mint uses)

or use brasero or k3b:

it won't get damaged like that. the live session loads into RAM and then runs in ram.

why would Mint not want to install? it's ubuntu with some extra apps and small modifications. the only time I saw failed installs was if there is not enough RAM.
