Hello,

is it possible to install LUBUBTU 64 bit on a Pentium 4 (100 MHz FSB, 2.6 GHz) with 1 GB RAM?

I could just try out, but to know before could save time and net traffic.

The Lubuntu site below indicates it should be possible although requirements for Xubuntu are lower. Try running it from the installation Live CD/flash drive to see how it works and whether you like it.

Hi

Thats a sad FSB. I had a P3 with same FSB, but that was many years ago. Are you sure about that? Video may be a problem. What kind of graphics do you have?

I think you have a fair chance of running Lubuntu. That P3 had a Gig of ram, the internet ran well. I could not play videos full screen, too much for it.

Burning a Live CD/DVD and taking a test drive, is the best bet.

Welcome to the fora.
With 1 GB of memory I recommend a 32 bit Lubuntu, also for a 64 bit processor.
