On a Compaq Presario CQ3000 with a dual boot Win7 and 14.10 64bit the boot selection menu works fine.
Win7 works normally :).
However 14.10 64bit Compaq QC3000 AMD I have a menu of Keyboard Shortcuts but the keyboard and mouse do not work and I am locked.
The mouse icon is strange but does navigate around the screen but the buttons do not work.
I originally downloaded and installed 14.04 with the same results and unable to find a fix moved to 14.10 hoping problem had been resoived.
One apend with a similar problem said not to move the mouse during boot up or to plug in mouse after bootup.
This did not work for me.
Spent all day trying to resolve so any help would be most gratefully received.
